The Labotron

The Infors Labotron has a solid, impact-resistant and attractive housing. The Labotron is easy to clean and resists abrasion and most chemical solvents. The drive unit is maintenance free and driven directly by a powerful motor. The drive unit consists of a centrally arranged flywheel mounted on a singe shaft that serves as both drive shaft and bearing pile. Additionally, the shaking table is fitted on guiding elements to guarantee a reproducible and vibration-free shaking motion. This system reduces heat, wear, and noise because it has few moving parts. This greatly enhances the life of the shaker. The Labotron's shaking speed is adjusted smoothly by a sliding potentiometer to eliminate sudden jerks, stops, and starts. It has a 12.5mm throw on its 300mm x 370mm (12" x 14.5") table and has a shaking speed of 40-400 RPM. The Labotron can work in ambient temperatures from 4°C to 60°C and up to 80% rh.
